Toys for Tots in our community

Toys for TotsChristmas is wonderful for kids, right? But what about those who don’t receive any gifts? How can they have a Merry Christmas? Thankfully, there’s Toys for Tots; an American charity that distributes gifts to needy children.

Toys for Tots relies on community support to donate, collect and deliver new, unwrapped gifts. So in addition to helping deprived kids experience the joy of Christmas, it also unites local communities during the end-of-year period.

This was the call for the 2006 Social Committee for Raleigh locations of Umicore USA Inc., Umicore Marketing Services, Umicore Building Products and Umicore Precious Metals NJ LLC – to join the common cause. The group held a toy drive and collected dozens of new gifts for distribution in their community.

The Social Committee thanks all those who supported Toys for Tots. They played an active role in the development of a nation’s most valuable natural resources – our children.
