´Chivabhat´ out of the starting blocks

Several months after our fund-raising drive, it´s time for an update on the planned construction projects in Koh Lanta (Krabi, Thailand) which was hit by the tsunami in December 2004.

Belgian and Thai colleagues went together with representatives of the local government to speak with the women of the centre and the child care workers of the day centre. Because who knows better than they how we can make sure that the new buildings satisfy their needs and those of the children?

In the meantime, the plans and specifications have been approved by all parties. The building permits have been issued and the general contractor for both projects has been hired. We´re ready to build!
To be continued!
