Umicore USA employees respond to Katrina

Umicore
Katrina caused catastrophic damage along the coastline of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and flooding most of the city of New Orleans. Over 70 countries offered assistance in various forms to help with what turned out to be the costliest natural disaster in US history.

A total of $19,231.81 was raised between employees and Umicore and all donations were sent to Human Resources in
Progress could be tracked on a regular basis by visiting the food bank and the director of the Food Bank Center kept Umicore USA up to date by email when trucks were being loaded and where each truck was going to deliver food.
